Hi Mayra.

Thank you for reading. That’s great that your family is considering Taiwan! It really is a nice place to live. I may not have the best advice for your daughter since I don’t have children and the people I know with children are either still infants or one of the parents are Taiwanese, which may be a little different since the child has a connection to the culture

Based on what I know about Taipei, it’s a more international friendly city since they have the most amount of foreign workers, university students, and tourists. Generally speaking, the people there are more accustomed to seeing different types of people compared to cities with fewer foreigners/tourist traffic.

In a previous comment, SheIsWildly FREE gave her thoughts about being in Tamsui (which is near Taipei proper) with her 11 year old daughter. Maybe she can provide a better perspective.

A year ago, I met a guy who interviews foreigners living in Taiwan. I was scrolling through his videos and found one of a mother and her teenage daughter living in Taipei. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2gn4VO4QRpg

Hope this helps!
