I always found it ironic that people to the leap to move abroad to ONLY hang out with people from the same country. Familiarity is good, especially when homesick or if one wants to celebrate holidays/traditions from their home country. But to live in a country for years and not have any friends/acquaintances from the local population is cutting one off from really enjoying the country they’re in.
