I always thought about settling somewhere in Latin America so I can put my Spanish and Portuguese to use. I currently live in Taiwan, a Mandarin Chinese speaking country, which made me realize that I'm not good at learning languages; I'm just good at learning ones that sound like English haha.
Based on the Latinos I've met, and how people describe the way of life there, their vibe seems similar to non-Hispanic Caribbean people as well (half of my family is from Jamaica). For the countries (or areas within a country) that have a large African presence in the culture like Cartagena in Colombia or Bahia in Brazil, it'll also be pretty relatable for me as well. I have a friend who spent time living in both countries, and she has made some cool videos highlighting the cultural similarities between there and the diaspora in the US.
