I currently live in Taiwan. Almost everything you mentioned is the same here. Seems to be pretty standard for most Southeast/East Asian countries based on my experience.

I think one thing this part of the world can one up the West are convenience stores. I call the 7 Elevens and similar places Convenience 2.0 because you buy halfway decent meals, pay your bills, print things, call a taxi, send/pick up packages, etc. I love that about Taiwan.
