I live in Taiwan, and it’s quite similar: easy to stay stagnant, wages aren’t increasing with the rising living costs, hard to fit in, etc.

I stayed for 5 years and thought moving up to a more managerial position is the change I needed to make me want to stay, but nope! I like my lifestyle here, but I’m ready to move.
