I think a good percentage of health conscious vegan YouTubers have eating disorders in disguise. Some of the people who came out as no longer vegan are not surprising to me because they ate very restrictive diets: low fat, low protein, no oil, raw only, low calorie, long term water and juice fasts, drinking urine, “alkaline” diets. Very little food variety. It’s not a surprising certain ex-vegan YouTubers started eating meat again.

I used to eat vegan most of the time, though not because of animals, so I never felt guilt for eating eggs, honey, soup with meat broth. I just became very interested in plant based cooking that it made me not crave or care for the taste of meat anymore.

Every trendy way of eating isn’t ideal or sustainable for everyone and no one should beat themselves up about it. The “diet” that helps you thrive is the best one.
