I always found it very off putting that many in natural hair forums are always obsessing over perfectly laid out baby hairs. Like why does my hair need to be attached to my face in order to look for presentable?

Maintaining natural hair isn’t that much work. Many of us are just trying to achieve styles that require a lot of manipulation because we think our hair doesn’t “look done” if we don’t go through this work. Pulling your hair back in a headband, puff, ponytail or bun still looks fine without using gel.
