This American has been drinking hot tea since I started drinking out of a sippy cup. I‘m 1000% sure me drinking tea at 3/4 years-old has something to do with my Jamaican mother, but non-wealthy tea-loving Americans exist. Before I moved abroad, I noticed that the bubble milk tea shops started popping up (I’m from the greater Philadelphia area). Since it’s sweet and rich, that’ll probably make more Americans reconsider, but honestly, I really don’t care if my fellow Americans adopt a tea-drinking culture. I’ll still be drinking it.
