THIS! Well said.

Home and the feeling of being “at home” can litereally exist everywhere and nowhere at the same tmie.

As someone who’s had a lot disposable and/or “low maintenance” friendships and kin and has gone through a lot of mental transformations, I’ve learned to not become too attached to things, which I think why moving away from “home home” was easy for me. Sure I miss my parents and my brother.

Some of your comments and points in regards to home reminded me of a post I read a few weeks ago: https://lithub.com/james-baldwin-might-have-been-most-at-home-in-istanbul/?fbclid=IwAR2RrkATvauCYW5xSGbKdUENKn0ggYLZDzFrScGqu3IWn6XbuDAsRqwB3ZA

I really enjoy reading your thoughts. I look forward to reading more about your experiences and thoughts since living in the US.
