It’s a harsh thing to say, but it’s true.

“Why is nobody talking about what’s happening in Sudan?!”

“Are you gonna pray for Sudan like how you prayed for the Notre Dame in France?”

These are the reoccurring remarks that I’ve seen up and town my social media timelines. The question is valid though redundant. It has been crystal clear that international media puts the world on pause when something happens to Europe or any of their closely related offspring (USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand), meaning developed, majority white, Christian nations. This is nothing new.

The “caring” Olympics always happens whenever something bad happens in Africa around the same time something bad happens in Europe. People post rants on what someone should/should not care about, or they’re looking for some clout for the amount of “woke points” they’ll receive for being the first person of their social circles to release information about forgotten Africa while everyone is focusing on evil Europe. It’s always the same song over and over again.

But it makes me wonder….

Does the caring stop when unrest and tragic events become yesterday’s news? Are people going to stop following CNN, BBC, etc. because it’s clear which issues they only care about? Are people going to…
