Wow that’s a very good observation! Outside of my non US-raised family members who don’t shy away from using their hands and eating every inch of meat off the bone (and some), I never really paid attention to how people from other fork and knife countries eat. I know Europeans tend to use knives more, but didn’t know no one else cuts food with a fork. I hardly use a knife when I eat unless it’s a meal in a formal setting (due to peer pressure). Now that I’m in East Asia, I use knives even less.

Based on everything else mentioned in the article, excluding appearance, I see why people don’t think I’m American.
